歷史沿革
47年：實踐家政專科學校，科名為「家政科」
80年：改制為實踐設計管理學院，系名改為「生活應用科學學系」
86年：校名奉准改名為「實踐大學」
90年：成立家庭研究與兒童發展研究所
93年：奉准成立「家庭研究與兒童發展學系」
96年：系所合一
99年：成立「家庭諮商與輔導碩士班」
99年：成立「高齡家庭服務事業碩士在職專班」
111年：成立「心理分析碩士在職專班」
學制介紹
大學部
1. 日間學士班：1班，招收52名。
入學管道：繁星推薦、申請入學、分發入學、轉學考、體育績優單獨招生、四技二專甄選入學／技優甄審、
外國學生申請入學、僑生、港澳生單招／個人申請／聯合分發
2. 進修學士班：1班，招收33名。
入學管道：本校獨招（甄選入學、轉學考、申請入學及學士後多元培力方案）
3. 學士二年制在職專班（等同二技）： 已於103年停招
研究所
1. 家庭諮商與輔導碩士班：1班，招收14名。
入學管道：甄試入學（8名）、考試入學（6名）
2. 高齡家庭服務事業碩士在職專班：1班，招收12名。

Introduction
Family Studies and Child Development Department of Shih Chien University is the first academic institute to focus on family issues, formerly established in 1958 as Home Economics Department. The department offers undergraduate programs and three master programs: Family Counseling and Guidance, Family Services for Older Adults, and Analytical Psychology.
